Energy healing is a form of alternative healing that prescribes to the notion that the mind/body connection can be used to promote healing and well-being. This form of healing is based on accessing, channeling, balancing and/or manipulating energy to accelerate healing or maintain health. There are many different modalities of energetic healing such as Reiki, Reflexology and Shamanic Healing, which allows Energetic Healing practitioners to manipulate the energy within our physical bodies to regain balance and facilitate our body’s innate healing mechanisms. Basically, it works with the Universal Source of all life force, for the greatest and highest good, to bring balance to your energy field.  There is no religious affiliation to Energy Healing although many religious and spiritual traditions have recognized this energy.

As humans, throughout our lives we experience many stresses.  These stresses can be caused by trauma, emotional and mental stress, false belief systems, physical distress, and environment stress which can affect our personal growth and can be stored in the energy fields of our bodies, impacting our ability to function at our full potential.  If a person has suffered tremendous heartbreak and has not been able to release that what she holds on to, eventually that emotional stress will take a toll on the organs in that area; i.e. heart issues, breathing issues, etc.
